ARKRS prides itself on the standard of accommodation it provides.
- We hold 6-weekly group meetings to discuss issues affecting the house such as relationships with other residents, communal areas, roles and activities.
- We hold quarterly meetings with residents on a one-to-one basis, discussing any issues arising, such as offending, risk to themselves and others, connecting with family members, managing their accommodation and their financial and emotional engagement with other agencies.
- ARKRS supports our service users to find move on accommodation in the private sector.
- We provide Tenancy Sustainment training in what to expect regarding independent living and in order to equip residents to move on.
We have found that the group living situation in which each take responsibility for themselves and for each other, along with the group activities, can effectively reinforce positive behaviours. Needs are assessed at the initial referral and, once accepted, clients receive training in life skills/ employment/ emotional issues/ re-integration into family life and society, both on-site and at various locations across the Borough, in collaboration with our delivery partners.
